Account deletion
This page explains how to delete your “One My Day” account and all associated data. Google Play requires a publicly accessible instruction that works even without the app installed.
Delete from the app (fastest)
- Open “One My Day” on your phone.
- Go to Settings → Delete account.
- Confirm by entering the keyword shown on screen.
Your account and all associated data are erased server-side within seconds.
Request deletion by email (if you cannot access the app)
Email support@onemyday.com from the address registered on the account. Please include:
- subject: “Delete my account”;
- the email you used to sign up.
We will complete the deletion within 7 business days and send a confirmation to the same address. We may ask you to enter a one-time code sent to your email to verify your identity.
What gets deleted
- your account (email and bindings);
- all journal entries (text, metadata, mood);
- all photos in private storage;
- AI memory about you and AI-generated comments;
- ephemeral chat history (already removed automatically within 60 minutes after each session);
- public share links to your entries (they stop loading and return HTTP 410);
- your notification, quiet-hours and preference settings.
What may temporarily remain
- Database backups — de-identified residues may persist for up to 30 days, after which they rotate out automatically.
- Server logs (IP address, request timestamps) — up to 90 days, de-identified, for security.
- Tax/financial records of Premium purchases — retained as required by law (typically 4–6 years for accounting purposes).
This is irreversible
Once your account is deleted, the data cannot be restored — we keep no means to recover it. If you want to keep a copy of your entries before deletion, email us and we will send you an archive.
